Easter, Selfies Beside Cars, Cinema Trips & Sunshine!

Hey Everyone!

It's the end of the first week of the Easter Holidays! Time flies when you're having fun. I decided to go back to the way I used to write blog posts, ie. The title was about some of the weird and random things I did in that week followed by corresponding photos.

Earlier this week I was hanging out with my friend Grace, our videos are now on YouTube! However I took it easy for the rest of the week. Despite being a Fifth Year studying all my subjects at higher level, I was given no homework for the Easter, merely warned about how ''Next year you'll have so much work you won't have a minute to rest, enjoy this Easter'' Lovely parting words.

I've basically spent the entire week on the internet, on Netflix and sleeping. Honestly, I really needed a week of just 'Me' time. The past few months have been quite tiring in school and the exhaustion was beginning to show both mentally and physically. However even just a few days away from my school books has made such a difference.

On Thursday night I was with my parents and brother, and we spotted this utterly beautiful car in the car park, the Audi R8. Basically an Audi R8 is my dream car and I have only seen three of these cars in real life. One when I was thirteen, one in London last year and this one on Thursday (And we saw it again yesterday!) My brother and I both started fangirling and took selfies and photos beside it. We didn't touch the car, mainly because they're worth over 100,000 euros and also because it looked SO SHINY AND SLEEK. Sorry, got a little excited over the car again.

I was doing some shopping with my Mam and came across the cutest things ever for Easter too. I bought a little set of ''Spring Lambs'' and a ''Tiny Talker'' toy lamb. I bought these in Tesco but I think they sold out pretty quickly. I love lambs (I have a little poster of a lamb in my room, they're so cute and fluffy) The talking lamb even baa's when you press its tummy, aww!

Friday was simply a gorgeous day. The weather was fabulous. My brother and I brought my 4 year old cousin down to Tesco where the chocolate company Lindt had a roulette wheel set up and you won chocolate! My little cousin spun the wheel and I did too! I was like a little child when I was given the Lindt milk chocolate ducks.

Later on I went to the cinema to see 'The Amazing Spider Man 2'' which was released that day. I really enjoyed the film, particularly Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone (I ship it in real life and also on-screen) I will be honest, I was a little teary towards the end (Okay I may have shed a tear) However I really enjoyed the film.

So today is Easter Saturday, and my Mam has given me my Easter eggs for tomorrow. I'll be writing another blog post in the next few days but for now, it's back to Netflix (and being irritated by my brother who keeps walking into my room and chatting approximately every five minutes, help me)

Posing beside the Audi R8!

The little lamb, so cute.

The Lindt chocolate ducks, quack!

''Am I really beside this car?!''

You could be doing anything you dream of.. If you believe in the things that make you strong

Hey Everyone!

So this week was an extremely quick week for me. As I sit here on a Sunday morning typing and listening to Maybe by Birdy (hence the title of today's post) I'm finding it difficult to recall what occurred this week, something which is quite unusual for me as I usually recall everything.

We had a half day on Monday due to a staff in-service so I missed double religion and also English (yay, but I actually love English) The weather was absolutely gorgeous, so much so I even posted a photo on Instagram about the weather. The day was symbolic that maybe Spring was well and truly here, that the dark, rainy, squally and just generally miserable days in Winter were gone for another few months.

On Wednesday after school were my parent-teacher meetings, where, as the title says, your parents meet your teachers to discuss you and how you're getting on so far. My parents came home and they were absolutely thrilled, not a single bad/negative comment had been said! -Breathes a sigh of relief- I was quite calm afterwards as I had been slightly concerned about what the teachers would say.

Thursday truly flew by along with Friday. On Friday my Ag Science class went to a dairy farm at the top of the town (ironically past my house) so at around 9.45am we were driving past my house and all I wanted was to go back to bed, priorities. The farmer showed us around the farm and we all took countless photos. As my uncle has a farm, I'm no stranger to calves, cattle and bulls, but some of the more ''townie'' girls honestly couldn't handle it which was slightly hilarious.

At around midday we left the farm, just down the road is a petrol station who do what can only be described as the best breakfast rolls and salad rolls ever. As you can imagine, we begged our teacher to let us all have lunch there, which we did! (The other class was on the other bus and went straight back to school without going there hehe) So we all left with simply amazing rolls for lunch. (It's about less than a mile from my house so during the holidays my lovely Mam usually drives me up there to get lunch. Some of the lads even drive up there at lunchtime they love the place that much)

We arrived back to school nearly half an hour after the other class so I was 25 minutes late for business. My teacher didn't mind as I explained we were later than was expected. (You're meant to tell your teachers in advance if you're not going to be in class due to any trips or GAA matches and whatnot)

On Saturday I went back to badminton for the first time in I'd say three weeks! I've been given so much homework recently I haven't had any time to go. Needless to say I was really tired (10 am on a Saturday morning) but when we finished up, the weather was amazing. At 4pm I collected my two younger cousins and brought them to my house as their parents were gone to a wedding.

We watched the Ireland vs France match, screaming with joy and nerves throughout the entire match. We jumped for joy when the final whistle blew (not going to lie, that referee had the most beautiful facial features ever) I got a little teary when Brian O'Driscoll (BOD) was interviewed and was the Man of The Match as it was his last game for Ireland (I also got emotional when Johnny Sexton was take off on a stretcher, I was just emotional throughout the match). A huge congratulations to the team for winning the Six Nations, the selfie they took was just fabulous!

Enough with my rambling for this week! I posted a blog post yesterday about my blogs first birthday! I guess it was a really good day for Ireland yesterday, brilliant weather, Ireland winning the Six Nations.... and my blog turning one... haha.

As I'm Irish and in a town somewhere in the South East of Ireland, I'm VERY excited for St. Patrick's Day tomorrow, I've loved the parade since I was a small child. I'll try take some photos of the parade, I'll also be wearing green of course.

On a final note, happy birthday to the best Mammy in the world, my Mammy! It's her birthday today (the day before Paddy's Day, so you can probably guess that her name is related to that fact) I hope you have a lovely birthday and my brother and I won't annoy you too much today! :D

Photos from my week!
''Aveen why are you posing with silage?'' It's for my Ag Science project for my Leaving Cert if you're wondering.

Taking selfies in front of the silage, Ag Students..

I was in Tesco on Friday, it's clear they're fans like me! (I bought the DVD and watched the film with a bowl of popcorn on Friday night, heaven)

Another poster in the store! May The Odds Be Ever In Your Favour

Some cupcakes we had over the weekend, yum.

A photo I posted on Instagram. Clear skies in Ireland? Is it the end of the world? ;)

AwkwardSprinkles; A Day In The Life!

Hey Everyone!

So this is a special post dedicated to a Day In The Life Of AwkwardSprinkles featuring my real life & blogger friend DaintySprinkles!

As it's officially Mid-Term, we felt it was time for an AwkwardSprinkles day, this time at my gaff/house! Grace arrived at my house and we immediately went on laptops (how sociable we are) talking, gossiping, eating chocolate and just generally relaxing.

We decided to walk down the road to Tesco/Costa which is really near my house (First World Perks?) We were slightly concerned that we would bump into people we knew, which is something inevitable if you live in a small town in Ireland. We flicked through magazines and I bought Company magazine for the first time! I think Grace is trying to convert me into a Beauty and Fashion Blogger!

We also paid a trip to Costa to get hot chocolate. To my utter grief, they had run out of marshmallows but I still had cream so it was okay. We decided to walk back up to my house where we embarrassingly vlogged in the middle of the road (with many drivers staring but it doesn't matter!)

You may also be delighted to hear that we recorded YouTube videos! I'm in the process of editing my videos (I have three videos coming up, the AwkwardSprinkles video, The Bloopers/Vlogs & also The TMI Tag) We discussed various subjects including the crazy Irish weather, people coughing/sneezing in exams, general gossip/rambling and LOTS more. So check out our YouTube accounts for those! Part One of AwkwardSprinkles will be on my channel and the Part Two on Graces!

We also took outfit photos which you can see below, we used my tripod 'FredOrGeorge' (Weasley reference) and I was very awkward when posing for photos as you can tell from the photos below.  Overall we had a brilliant day and I think we were both very sad when Grace had to go home :(

Bloggers heaven; laptops, Costa, Company magazine, chocolate and Wi-Fi

Today's day on my calendar

I bought Company magazine!

I hope you enjoyed an insight into a Day In The Life Of AwkwardSprinkles!

So Don't Grow Old, Forgetting Who You Are, A Simple Goal Could Get You Very Far.

Hey Everyone!

Lyric: Heroes or Ghosts ~ The Coronas

Another long, tedious week has passed in The Life Of Me. I had exams as I probably have mentioned on various websites, but they're over now thankfully. As I'm in 5 th Year, I got my test results back from some of my exams very quickly as we're somewhat of a priority for teachers (after 6th and 3rd Years of course)

I did get back some results and I'm delighted with my results so far (I know it's only Christmas exams but I wanted to make a good impression with my teachers) I've even gotten a couple of A's and a B which I'm quite happy about seeing as I worked my ass off for the past few months.

The exams lasted until Wednesday so on Thursday and Friday I had normal classes, even though I had no motivation or energy left to do anything but lie on my bed and listen to Birdy. However things brightened up on Friday  as we had a no uniform day in school (we're only allowed one a year) and also on Friday night  as I went out to a local Chinese restaurant with my Irish club (wearing my Christmas jumper of course)

If you're wondering, Irish isn't the common language spoken in Ireland, English is. However we study Irish in school and have exams in Irish along with every other subject (which is not fun) and I go to a weekly club where we all speak Irish and play games and whatnot. It's brilliant in improving your Irish and I've seen my grade in Irish increase constantly because my level of understanding in Irish has increased tenfold.

To celebrate Christmas and the last club meeting of the year (starts back next year yay) we all went to the Chinese and spoke only Irish to each other! Obviously when we ordered we spoke in English as nobody had a clue what we were saying. I was sitting with my friends Maeve, Shannon, Mary, Emily and Aoileann. We had a brilliant night and believe it or not, it's quite easy speaking Irish to your friends all night (even when you're talking about the cardboard cut-out of Harry Styles your Mam bought you for Christmas, SPOILERS)

At the end of the night the Cinnire (leaders of the club) announced it was the end of the night and thanked us all for coming and we'd all be back in the new year. She also said that there were little prizes for the best boy and girl in the club, and I got some sweets for being the best girl in the club which is quite random thing to be given sweets for, but I always appreciate the little things. I was given a Christmas box of sweets which look DELECTABLE. Thanks Spleodar!

Speaking of delectable, I texted into my favourite radio show I listen to every morning called Breakfast With Hector and the text was for The Mam of The Year awards and I entered my Mam (cos I'm such a lovely child) Hector read out the text and I was like fangirling so much. Mam didn't win but I was delighted to have my text read out (with my name pronounced right, thanks Hector!) A girl in my year even mentioned it to me in school that she had heard my name being mentioned!

Awkward hugs with Shannon!

A random photo!

Happy Christmas in Irish!

Cheers Spleodar!

My lovely brother found this in the attic and told me that it is my spirit animal as we both have the same face, lovely!
So that's about it from me this week, I'm also going to be part of Jane's Christmas Blogger series so I'll be posting tomorrow about that, along with a blog post about decorating my house for Christmas!
