''Everything’s In Order In A Black Hole, Nothing Seems As Pretty As The Past Though''

Hey Everyone!

It's the end of another week, which honestly shocked me, this week flew by! Many of you will be delighted to hear that another AwkwardSprinkles day was had on Saturday! Which means TWO new videos, aren't you all lucky?! :D

Grace and I met up down the town and sauntered around the town, catching up and having lots of fun. We later went to Grace's gaff (our obsession with 'gaff' is becoming slightly terrifying) to film two new videos which are so utterly random and strange, I'm slightly concerned about how we will be perceived afterwards! :)

I didn't really do much this week, I kind of took things easier this week. As a result I feel rejuvenated and eager to finish aims I had planned for the summer instead of just reblogging GIF's of Dan Howell (That said, nothing wrong with spending countless days drooling over Dan Howell's jawline) I also bought the magazine that will be featuring a massive poster of him in August. Life = Made.

I also made a Facebook page for my blog, you can check it out here and I'll be posting on this page whenever I write a blog post or make a YouTube video. I made the Facebook page after nearly a year and a half of procrastinating doing so!

In other news, the Long List for the Blog Awards Ireland was released on Friday. If you check the sidebar, you'll see that this little blog was nominated in THREE categories, for Best Lifestyle Blog, Best Personal Blog and Best Youth Blog! I was completely and utterly shocked when I read through the nominee's! I had to read it a couple of times to make sure I wasn't dreaming. So I'd like to say a massive thank you to the lovely people who nominated me, I really and truly appreciate it and this has given me the confidence to announce to my family and friends that I have a blog! Some of my family and friends knew but I don't think many did!

So The Random Life Of Aveen is no longer a quietly kept secret and it feels good to be able to say, ''Yep, I'm a lifestyle blogger and an occasional YouTuber as well being a Leaving Cert student''

I also developed an obsession with loom bands. I bought a couple of packets just to try it out and I was honestly hooked at once. I've made nearly a dozen loom bands so far and I'm experimenting with different designs which is really fun.

I also bought some new music on iTunes, I got Ed Sheeran's new album 'X' the deluxe version, AM by Arctic Monkeys and the 1975's self-titled album. I'm really happy with the albums I bought, I'd been meaning to buy them for a LONG time so my days have been filled with lots of new songs (yay!)

Raindrops keep falling on my head...

LOOM BANDS! I made Wexford and Limerick loom bands for my cousins. (I'm writing this whilst still wearing my Wexford jersey, there's always next year)

I'll see you all very soon!

PS, Grace uploaded the latest AwkwardSprinkles video, mine will be on the way shortly! :)

All The Voices In My Mind, Calling Out Across The Line...

Hey Everyone!

So this blog post is a few days late and in all honesty, I don't really have an excuse! Every day is melting seamlessly into another, leaving me in the lurch and thinking of all the things I could have finished in the past tense, instead of actually doing the work I wanted to do.

However, what matters now is that I'm actually progressing to finish the random things I've procrastinated for the past few days. During the summer months I seem to just 'lose the plot' as my routine is thrown out of sorts for a few months. I suppose you could call it having freedom but I think for a few blissful weeks I let it go to my head, resulting in a week or two of just thinking of what I could have achieved in that wasted time instead of progressing further to achieve anything.

I have a huge 'block' in my head about school. It's my last year in second-level education and I think my mind is in denial over this somewhat terrifying prospect. However let's be positive, there's still over a month of Summer holidays for me to procrastinate and enjoy! I'm planning another YouTube video soon as I recently made some purchases online (some of which arrived!) from Roxy and Hollister so I'll be doing a Mini-Haul soon and maybe another video or two that may contain a trace of Sprinkles or Awkwardness (Watch this space)

Down below are some random things I bought during the week. I was down the town with my friends and for the first time in probably 6 months bought KISS magazine. I started reading the magazine when I was around 10 or 11 but stopped at the start of this year, mainly as I felt I had outgrown the magazine and personally, enjoyed the previous editor's styles of writing and also choice of topics. (I'm so picky I know)

I also bought 'The Book Thief' on DVD. I read the book (and cried a little) earlier this year and heard rave reviews about the film. As of yet I've to finish watching the DVD but the half hour or so I saw was utterly excellent. I just need a quiet evening or afternoon to just sit down and watch it. I also bought some iTunes cards because well, music.

I also got my hair cut for the first time in like 3 months. I'm usually very good and get it cut once a month or every 6 weeks but with Summer exams and going to the Gaeltacht for 3 weeks, time seemed to melt away. Before I knew it my hair was extremely thick and bushy so I knew it was time to get my hair thinned and cut again so my hair is nice and styled again!

Last Thursday I went to the Chinese with some friends for Viv's birthday. We all had a great evening and had amazing milkshakes afterwards (it's tradition okay) Grace was there too but we were sitting at other sides of the extremely long table, ooops.

Wexford played against Waterford on Saturday so again I'm embracing being a Yellow Belly and wearing my jersey. Let's hope the match in Thurles will be good!

So that's about it from me, I'll hopefully be posting later on in the week. I'm also blogging on Collab Sunflower! Check out the collaboration blog, each week we have a different theme and it's just brilliant.
I'll be posting on Friday about  'A Momentous Memory'

''We Are Surrounded By All Of These Lies, And People Who Talk Too Much...''

Hey Everyone!

*Lyrics: Ed Sheeran ~ Tenerife Sea

Sorry that this blog post is a little late, I spent yesterday afternoon chilling with Grace of Dainty Sprinkles and also watching a GAA match which featured the Wexford (Yes I am a yellow belly!)

Grace and I met up in the afternoon and got the best creamy coolers in Costa (whilst half heartedly writing down video idea's in my blogging notebook) however we mainly spent the afternoon just chatting and catching up (mainly because I live like a hermit on the internet)

We went up ''The Pitch'' near my house. It's basically a green area with a goal post but isn't big enough to have two goals. However there was lots of pretty daisies and flowers so we took photos of them! We also took some outfit photos which made us feel extremely self-conscious as I have neighbours *shudders* Those photos will appear on Grace's blog soon.

Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to make any YouTube video's however we will be filming an AwkwardSprinkle's video or two very soon so keep your eyes peeled!

When Grace left, I started watching the hurling match on tv between Wexford and Clare. The previous week it led to a draw so this was a replay. Again, the match went into extra-time. Wexford isn't well known for being brilliant at GAA sports (except maybe camogie, the team won a few All-Ireland's a few years back) However the last time Wexford won an All-Ireland in hurling was in 1996. (I wasn't even born at the time! I was born like 3 weeks later)

So the match was vitally important and led to a lot of screaming and shouting and joy in my house and I'm sure a lot of other houses around the county. Well done to the lads, they were absolutely surreal and won in the end which was brilliant! I was tweeting frantically during the match so my Twitter is just a mess at the moment.

So that was about it for my week! I'm working in my summer job which is going well so I tend to do very little in the afternoons except maybe watch another series on Netflix, listen to music, read books, go on Tumblr or go on a Costa run (It's dangerous having Costa down the road I swear)

I'm also taking part in CollabSunflower!  Last week's theme was 'Questions' and you can read how we all interpreted the title, it's quite interesting! So check out the blog and give it a follow! :)

Every Lesson Forms A New Scar, They Never Thought You'd Make It This Far..

Hey Everyone!

This week I finished Fifth Year and my Summer Exams! *Happy dance* So I won't be back in school until late August/early September to start Sixth Year, aka my last year in secondary school. I personally find typing that sentence both exhilarating and also quite, quite terrifying.

I finished up exams on Thursday at lunch time which was nice I have to say. Ever since I've basically stayed at home on Tumblr, tried to finish packing for my trip to the Gaeltacht (It's on Tuesday, my nerves are shot at this stage) and went to Costa two days in a row for a 'Last Supper' of a Costa drink.

I printed a map and directions to the Gaeltacht for my Mam and her first response was ''WAIT, YOU'RE ON AN ISLAND FOR THREE WEEKS?'' She also suggested that it's ''Next stop America from there'' So you can basically picture me being on an island speaking Irish, surrounded by bogs, sheep and stone walls  and being over an hour away from Galway city, this will be interesting!

If you're wondering if my blog will remain active for the duration of the trip, the answer is YES :) I have enlisted in the help of some lovely bloggers who have written guest posts on various topics which will all be posted sometime during the 3 weeks I'm away. I also have written some posts myself but I will be out of contact with the interwebs until June 25th.

Maybe an internet detox is what I need at the moment. After finishing Fifth Year I feel that I need to get away for a while, so many this will be 'killing two birds with the one stone' as it were. I feel that I'm, in a way, too connected to the internet and my thumb is on the pulse of the internet far too often. Once I wake up I check my emails, Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. I check those websites continuously throughout the day. I think that a detox for three weeks would do no harm, but I will really, really miss blogging, tweeting my bloggers friends and just communicating with everyone. It's going to be hard to adjust but we're allowed to write letters over there which is good!

I honestly am not quite sure what else to say about this week. I basically spent the majority of it cramming, sleeping and panicking over exams, which is always a great way to spend your time. I subsequently spent the other half of the week just reblogging gif's of Dan & Phil and whatever else popped up on my dash.

my latest YouTube video!  Titled ''Negativity On The Internet'' If you liked it please give it a thumbs up or comment!

Selfie with my Costa today

''Aveen have you packed for the Gaeltacht?''
''Everything including the kitchen sink''

Sadly, this seems to be my last post until June 25th at the least.
I can feel butterflies of nerves as I type these last few sentences as I really don't want to leave the blogging world for three weeks, but it'll be worth it and I will be coming back.
'Till Then,
Stay Strong, Happy & Fearless, I will miss all of you so much!

Easter, Selfies Beside Cars, Cinema Trips & Sunshine!

Hey Everyone!

It's the end of the first week of the Easter Holidays! Time flies when you're having fun. I decided to go back to the way I used to write blog posts, ie. The title was about some of the weird and random things I did in that week followed by corresponding photos.

Earlier this week I was hanging out with my friend Grace, our videos are now on YouTube! However I took it easy for the rest of the week. Despite being a Fifth Year studying all my subjects at higher level, I was given no homework for the Easter, merely warned about how ''Next year you'll have so much work you won't have a minute to rest, enjoy this Easter'' Lovely parting words.

I've basically spent the entire week on the internet, on Netflix and sleeping. Honestly, I really needed a week of just 'Me' time. The past few months have been quite tiring in school and the exhaustion was beginning to show both mentally and physically. However even just a few days away from my school books has made such a difference.

On Thursday night I was with my parents and brother, and we spotted this utterly beautiful car in the car park, the Audi R8. Basically an Audi R8 is my dream car and I have only seen three of these cars in real life. One when I was thirteen, one in London last year and this one on Thursday (And we saw it again yesterday!) My brother and I both started fangirling and took selfies and photos beside it. We didn't touch the car, mainly because they're worth over 100,000 euros and also because it looked SO SHINY AND SLEEK. Sorry, got a little excited over the car again.

I was doing some shopping with my Mam and came across the cutest things ever for Easter too. I bought a little set of ''Spring Lambs'' and a ''Tiny Talker'' toy lamb. I bought these in Tesco but I think they sold out pretty quickly. I love lambs (I have a little poster of a lamb in my room, they're so cute and fluffy) The talking lamb even baa's when you press its tummy, aww!

Friday was simply a gorgeous day. The weather was fabulous. My brother and I brought my 4 year old cousin down to Tesco where the chocolate company Lindt had a roulette wheel set up and you won chocolate! My little cousin spun the wheel and I did too! I was like a little child when I was given the Lindt milk chocolate ducks.

Later on I went to the cinema to see 'The Amazing Spider Man 2'' which was released that day. I really enjoyed the film, particularly Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone (I ship it in real life and also on-screen) I will be honest, I was a little teary towards the end (Okay I may have shed a tear) However I really enjoyed the film.

So today is Easter Saturday, and my Mam has given me my Easter eggs for tomorrow. I'll be writing another blog post in the next few days but for now, it's back to Netflix (and being irritated by my brother who keeps walking into my room and chatting approximately every five minutes, help me)

Posing beside the Audi R8!

The little lamb, so cute.

The Lindt chocolate ducks, quack!

''Am I really beside this car?!''

A day in the life of AwkwardSprinkles!

Hey Everyone!

So Tuesday was an official AwkwardSprinkles day! (YAY!)

We met up at around 11.30am in town outside Boots (Where all the bloggers hang out, joking) and walked haphazardly around town. We went into various shops along on the way.

We sauntered up to the shopping centre and admired clothes in all the clothes shops (and cried when we looked at their price tags) It was really lovely weather so I got to wear my new sunglasses! I was also introduced to the magnificence of the cola slushy!

We sat outside the cafe, drinking our cola slushies and eating chocolate (healthy indeed! :D) whilst chatting about random events and just your average teenage conversations. Afterwards we went walking around and even went to the urban gym near the library, where I started vlogging, much to Grace's embarrassment (sorry)

Whilst we were walking around town, we bumped into various people we knew and stopped to chat to some of them, until we left for Grace's house! :) We took photos for our OOTD's which will be on Grace's blog Dainty Sprinkles !

We gossiped, chatted, had lunch and started filming our YouTube videos in Grace's garden. (Links to the videos will be below) which led to various outtakes which can never be published and lots of giggles and inside joke references.

I had to leave early as I was going to see the movie 'Calvary' with my family. Overall though, we had an absolutely hilariously fantastic day and I hope you enjoy our videos, we made videos for both our channels so if you could check them out, like them and leave a comment we'd love you! :D

Some photos from the day!

I look so happy..

Grace looks so happy...

This photo just describes our friendship ''Aveen what are you doing''

I hope you enjoyed our blog posts and videos!

You could be doing anything you dream of.. If you believe in the things that make you strong

Hey Everyone!

So this week was an extremely quick week for me. As I sit here on a Sunday morning typing and listening to Maybe by Birdy (hence the title of today's post) I'm finding it difficult to recall what occurred this week, something which is quite unusual for me as I usually recall everything.

We had a half day on Monday due to a staff in-service so I missed double religion and also English (yay, but I actually love English) The weather was absolutely gorgeous, so much so I even posted a photo on Instagram about the weather. The day was symbolic that maybe Spring was well and truly here, that the dark, rainy, squally and just generally miserable days in Winter were gone for another few months.

On Wednesday after school were my parent-teacher meetings, where, as the title says, your parents meet your teachers to discuss you and how you're getting on so far. My parents came home and they were absolutely thrilled, not a single bad/negative comment had been said! -Breathes a sigh of relief- I was quite calm afterwards as I had been slightly concerned about what the teachers would say.

Thursday truly flew by along with Friday. On Friday my Ag Science class went to a dairy farm at the top of the town (ironically past my house) so at around 9.45am we were driving past my house and all I wanted was to go back to bed, priorities. The farmer showed us around the farm and we all took countless photos. As my uncle has a farm, I'm no stranger to calves, cattle and bulls, but some of the more ''townie'' girls honestly couldn't handle it which was slightly hilarious.

At around midday we left the farm, just down the road is a petrol station who do what can only be described as the best breakfast rolls and salad rolls ever. As you can imagine, we begged our teacher to let us all have lunch there, which we did! (The other class was on the other bus and went straight back to school without going there hehe) So we all left with simply amazing rolls for lunch. (It's about less than a mile from my house so during the holidays my lovely Mam usually drives me up there to get lunch. Some of the lads even drive up there at lunchtime they love the place that much)

We arrived back to school nearly half an hour after the other class so I was 25 minutes late for business. My teacher didn't mind as I explained we were later than was expected. (You're meant to tell your teachers in advance if you're not going to be in class due to any trips or GAA matches and whatnot)

On Saturday I went back to badminton for the first time in I'd say three weeks! I've been given so much homework recently I haven't had any time to go. Needless to say I was really tired (10 am on a Saturday morning) but when we finished up, the weather was amazing. At 4pm I collected my two younger cousins and brought them to my house as their parents were gone to a wedding.

We watched the Ireland vs France match, screaming with joy and nerves throughout the entire match. We jumped for joy when the final whistle blew (not going to lie, that referee had the most beautiful facial features ever) I got a little teary when Brian O'Driscoll (BOD) was interviewed and was the Man of The Match as it was his last game for Ireland (I also got emotional when Johnny Sexton was take off on a stretcher, I was just emotional throughout the match). A huge congratulations to the team for winning the Six Nations, the selfie they took was just fabulous!

Enough with my rambling for this week! I posted a blog post yesterday about my blogs first birthday! I guess it was a really good day for Ireland yesterday, brilliant weather, Ireland winning the Six Nations.... and my blog turning one... haha.

As I'm Irish and in a town somewhere in the South East of Ireland, I'm VERY excited for St. Patrick's Day tomorrow, I've loved the parade since I was a small child. I'll try take some photos of the parade, I'll also be wearing green of course.

On a final note, happy birthday to the best Mammy in the world, my Mammy! It's her birthday today (the day before Paddy's Day, so you can probably guess that her name is related to that fact) I hope you have a lovely birthday and my brother and I won't annoy you too much today! :D

Photos from my week!
''Aveen why are you posing with silage?'' It's for my Ag Science project for my Leaving Cert if you're wondering.

Taking selfies in front of the silage, Ag Students..

I was in Tesco on Friday, it's clear they're fans like me! (I bought the DVD and watched the film with a bowl of popcorn on Friday night, heaven)

Another poster in the store! May The Odds Be Ever In Your Favour

Some cupcakes we had over the weekend, yum.

A photo I posted on Instagram. Clear skies in Ireland? Is it the end of the world? ;)

The Only Thing Embedded In My Mindset, Is How I'm Addicted To Progress..

Hey Everyone!

Lyrics: The Coronas ~ Addicted To Progress
Sorry for the later than usual blog post today, I was actually being sociable this weekend for once! *Shock horror*

This week was my second week back after Mid-Term, in reality it feels like two months. I'm utterly exhausted at the moment, I've actually no idea why I'm so tired. Everything seems to be so stressful and I keep wishing there was more hours in the day to either study or sleep.

It's honestly shocking how quickly time is flying by, in 3 months, I'll be sitting somewhere in Galway talking Irish. In September when I started Fifth Year, I felt that the year was going to last for ever and the Gaeltacht felt like an unreachable destination. With each passing day and week, it's edging ever closer in my mind.

Monday to Friday was literally a ''blink and you'll miss it'' type of week. But Pancake Tuesday was glorious, I'm definitely in love with lemon and sugar pancakes. I was extremely positive on Monday morning however this positivity evaporated by the end of the day. At the end of each day I was practically begging to go home, even the other students blocking my locker block would set me crazy. (I don't cope well with a lack of sleep as you can probably tell)

We had a maths test on Wednesday, which I had a number of sleepless nights over (Might as well be honest) Due to the classes abysmal performance, we were given another test on Friday which hopefully will be better. I've been having nightmares and weird dreams about maths nearly every night since Monday, it's been horrible! (Imagine maths equations like chasing you near cliffs and screaming to find the volume of random objects, yep)

On Friday evening was the last week of the Irish Club until September (It's Spleodar, can't say which one though, cos that's a little stalkerish) and my friends and I were sad that Spleodar was over as we loved talking in Irish, playing games, eating pizza and of course, gossiping as Gaeilge!

Which leads onto why I wasn't on the interwebs on Saturday! All the Spleodar clubs went to Carlow for ''Slogadh Spleodar'' where we were in a parade all over Carlow all carrying balloons for Seachtain Na Gaeilge. Afterwards we had lunch and listened to an Irish band called ''Mo Hat Mo Gheansaí'' who were savage and played lots of songs in Irish (including one of my favourites, The Coronas, Heroes or Ghosts, link below to The Coronas singing it)

After Mo Hat Mo Gheansaí's performance (which had everyone up and dancing) We went to another very Irish place, Supermacs. I will admit now, I'd never been to Supermacs, mainly because it's not in my town (Niall Horan is obsessed with the place apparently!) The place was full of Spleodar students. Afterwards we began rehearsing for the Comórtas (Competition) where each club had their own song to sing and the best would be the winner.

*laughs really awkwardly* Our song was about Domino's pizza, honestly. The song was to tune of Waka Waka by Shakira. It was honestly hilarious singing about pizza ''Ni Mhaith Linn Glasraí'' ~ We Don't Like Vegetables, that was a line from the song! I'd post the actual lyrics but I'm laughing so hard thinking about us standing up on the stage singing the song about pizza, only in Spleodar! :)

Overall, it was an interesting week, full of plenty of ups and downs, but that's just the unpredictability of life. I try not to compare my ''behind-the scenes to someone else's highlight reel'' It may seem that bloggers have ''amazing lives'' (I have been told this by people) But in reality, I'm the quiet girl in the class who rarely speaks unless to say ''here'' when my name is called. People think I'm oozing with self confidence, it's the total opposite. I love writing, and this is my way of writing.

Photos from my week!
A random selfie, I'm still getting used to my glasses.
Top and hoody are both Roxy.

The place where most of life is now spent. ie, studying (Student-Dying)

I bought this months issue of Company magazine with Zoella on the cover! I've read most of it and it's absolutely brilliant. I loved Zoella's interview and photoshoot, the Grease t shirt was gorgeous.

A random selfie taken this morning. I feel as though my glasses make me look younger? Idk.
