Christmas Penneys/Primark Haul!

Hey Everyone!

I recently visited Penneys and picked up some items for Christmas! *Cue excited squeals of joy* Here are the items I bought!

I've developed an obsession with fairy lights recently, this heart (with the prettiest snowflake) was 4 euros. I thought it would be a nice touch in my room.

*sighs* I saw these fairy lights too and these were also 4 euros. I've become quite focused on decorating my room since I got it re-decorated over the summer.

This cute Christmas tree hairband was only two euros and is ideal for any Christmas party.

I also bought this cute elf clip, it's subtle yet so Christmassy at the same time.

Gingerbread men mittens! I've lost the receipt so I'm not sure how much these are, but it's Penneys so it wouldn't break the bank. I've been wearing these to school and down the town and I love them.

I saw these slippers and thought they looked so cosy and warm. (They are)

I love a good pair of fluffy socks and these are just ideal. This pair was 3.50 but so cosy.

This t-shirt was 3 euros and I couldn't resist it. I've worn it once so far but plan to wear it more during the rest of the month.

My final item and probably my favourite. This was 17 euros and isn't it just the best/cutest cardigan you've seen? I wore it yesterday to the Slógadh Spleodar for the Christmas party and I was so warm wearing it, as well as looking festive.

That's my Christmas haul from Penneys/Primark.
Have you bought any bargains or gorgeous pieces from Penneys recently? Let me know in the comments.

Penneys/Primark Winter Haul!

Hey Everyone!

Over midterm I paid a trip to my beloved Penneys to stock up on some accessories and t-shirts from their Autumn/Winter collection. Needless to say I wasn't disappointed. Here are some of the items I bought!

**I bought Christmas items which I will post at a later date. I feel November 1st is a little too early to be singing about a 'White Christmas.' I'm not the Grinch but I always wait until December before getting excited for Christmas!

Another sign to hang up in my room, it's a similar design to a heart I bought last time in Limerick!
I think it was 3 euros.

Here are some pretty bobbins, I thought they looked really cute and girly.

You may not know about my bow obsession (It's getting serious) so these were a delight to see!

More bows. Oh dear.

I love this bobbin with the pink tinged roses, I wear my hair in a doughnut bun in school so it would be amazing to wear with it.

Owl pyjamas!

A blouse I bought for only 7 euros. I really like the shape, it's similar to other blouses I have.

I feel in love with the detail in this cardigan collar! It's so pretty and brightens the appearance of the black cardigan.

Here's a black top I bought, the back is longer than the front and creates a flattering effect.

So that's my Winter haul! I'll be posting a Christmas themed Penneys/Primark haul closer to Christmas. Warning, may contain cute Christmas cardigans.

OOTD - Divergent with Dainty Sprinkles!

Hey Everyone!

I am literally just back from the cinema after seeing Divergent with my friend Grace from Dainty Sprinkles! The weather wasn't too great however we meet up at the cinema so it was grand.

We arrived in the screening room literally as soon as the film started, due to the darkness we couldn't see a thing! I think both of us nearly sat on someone or their drink, I'm not quite sure but to whoever it was, sorry!

The film itself was brilliant. I read Divergent & Insurgent during Christmas 2012 (after being HEAVILY recommended by my lovely godmother the previous summer, thank you!) I instantly fell in the love with the trilogy, waiting impatiently as Allegiant was released a year later.

I felt that the film was very good, however the character development of some characters wasn't that great, I won't spoil much but I very much enjoyed it, it was a brilliant way to spend a damp and rainy Saturday afternoon! Also, two words, Theo James. I really think that Theo is a flawless embodiment of Four, he was absolutely perfect for the role, I'm looking forward to seeing him again in the adaptation of Insurgent.

So I decided to post an OOTD of what I wore! (Sorry if I'm standing awkwardly, I have blisters at the moment from another set of my Converse, never wear high tops when walking all over town! So I am currently limping at the moment, fun)

*The weather wasn't great outside so I had to take my photos in my room, I'm 5'8 and my tripod could barely fit me into the entire photo, oops...

Top/hoodie: Roxy
Jeans: Primark/Penneys
Shoes: Converse
Hair Clip:  Pulse Accessories

Hope you enjoyed my slightly random OOTD, as you can probably tell, I love the colour turquoise! I really like this hoody, it's so warm and cosy!

The Random Life of Aveen Adores Fanny Crown!

Hey Everyone!

I was recently contacted by the lovely people from Fanny Crown who asked me to take part in their blogger contest! I'm delighted to say that this is my entry.

I was asked to pick a dress from their website and describe how I would style it. Due to the sheer amount of simply stunning dresses available on their website (Dresses for events such as debs, proms and lots more!) I finally chose this gorgeous dress.

I checked to see if there was a description about the dress, unfortunately there was not, so I'll use my own to describe the dress and how I would personally style it.

Firstly, I would wear this dress to literally any event, the dress is tailor made and titled ''Chic Sweetheart Mid-Long Golden Evening Dress'' which is such a pretty name in my opinion.

The dress is a mid-length nude/beige dress. From the waist down, the dress is made of a flared lace material which looks not only elegant but extremely flattering on any size. The length of the dress is very dainty, it's not too short and not too long either. I feel that the length means that you could wear this dress to any event you wanted, Communions, Confirmations, Weddings, maybe even your Debs! (Mine's next year :O!)

I particularly adore the top half of the dress. The neckline is quite subtle yet charming. The straps are also beige/nude. I love how the bodice has a sequinned finish, I find that it's quite intricate and beautifully detailed. It's obvious from the photos that a lot of care and precision is taken to make the entire dress and the materials look to be a very good quality too.

Now onto the accessories! I personally would style this beautiful dress with a pair of nude heels. At the moment there is an utterly delightful pair on Boohoo.com. I think that the shape of the platform heels would really compliment the dress.

The handbag I picked is also nude but has a simply intricate and beautifully detailed lace finish. The bag is on sale from Next and is relatively inexpensive for such a charming little handbag!

For make-up I would use a red MAC lipstick for impact and to make your face stand out in comparison to the nude/beige dress and accessories. The eye shadow of preference would be from the NAKED 2 palette and I'd use the eye shadow colours from the palette to create a sultry smokey eye, perfect for any occasion.

To have more of a ''mood board'' or 'collage' feel to the photos here, I also added some inspirations I thought of as I was choosing accessories and make up idea's. The roses I thought looked appealing and I thoroughly loved the shade of the roses. I also added a photo of a cute little bunny rabbit as I think rabbits are one of the cutest animals I've seen.

So that's how I would style the ''Chic Sweetheart Mid-Length Golden Evening Dress'' I hope you all enjoyed this blog post, I know I had a lot of fun choosing a dress along with accessories and make-up to go with the dress.
