Flower Crown Aesthetic

Hey Everyone!

Time is flying by at a faster pace than I ever imagined. I was hit by a sudden realisation yesterday evening that I had rebooted my blog last week, with the promise of a weekly post - just like it used to be. Well, here I am,

The concept of writing each week has become alien and strange to me due to my absence. I am making a concerted effort to brainstorm and create unique blog posts to produce each week. With a sigh I must admit, it's difficult. This time last year I had no qualms sharing my life in it's near entirety with the masses. Now, times have changed. I feel uneasy and nervous as I tweet about my life, let alone writing thoroughly and a detailed manner about my life on TRLOA. I believe this uneasiness will pass and my comfort zone will increase once more.

With more difficulty, I know I must realise that I should not pressure myself into writing about topics I don't wish to discuss. Yet the more I hold back, the more information that is desired. My confidence on my blog was hammered and shattered throughout Sixth Year by my peers. Taking a deep breath, I will try focus on the acceptance that these events occurred and that I'm a better person now.  I hate to disappoint the readers of this blog but I can assure you, I. Am. Trying. I feel that there aren't enough hours in the day for everything that I want to do. This is so extremely frustrating as I feel I haven't achieved all the goals I set myself on a daily basis. One of those being the goal of producing high quality, well written blog posts. I'm struggling with the gears yet soon I will accelerate.

You might be wondering about the title of this blog post, here is my explanation. I bought a flower crown a couple of weeks ago and I simply adore it. Yesterday I went shopping and amongst the new clothes and items I bought, I became conscious of the fact that I bought a lot of turquoise things. I'm trying this new idea of simplicity and this post title is a product of this.

I'll aim to try post up a Summer shopping haul soon.

I picked up this GoT t-shirt in Penneys and love it!

Turquoise aesthetic much?
I wore my new runners this morning as I went for a brisk walk. They were so incredibly comfortable! The purse/pencil case is from Penneys and so is the sunglasses case with the cat on it.

If you're wondering where my time has been spent lately, it's through work, reading GoT, listening to music (Mainly Ed Sheeran, Hozier, FOB, The Coronas and Taylor Swift)  and watching Once Upon A Time on Netflix (I'm on Season 2 at the moment and I'm really enjoying watching an episode or two each night)

What do you love to binge watch on Netflix? Let me know in the comments!

“This moment will just be another story someday.”

Hey Everyone!

So it's nearly the end of the first full week of 2014! *Accidentally types 2013* I had a very relaxing week as I'm not back in school yet (that's tomorrow, sadly) The week is a bit of a blur in reality, but has been quite enjoyable.

The title of this blog post is from the book ''The perks of being a wallflower'' by Stephen Chbosky which I got for Christmas. I read the book all this week, I'd definitely recommend it, I cried reading the end of the book. Overall it was brilliant and I'm looking forward to watching the film soon. I didn't want to be too cheesy and use the quote ''And in that moment, I swear we were infinite'' as I feel it's extremely overused sadly.

I watched Sherlock on Sunday evening and I even made a YouTube video about my reaction to Season 3 episode one (link is here, if you're brave) as I'm a huge Sherlockian! I thoroughly enjoyed the episode, it was perfection!

On another note, I received a DM on Twitter from a lovely girl (who I won't name) who heard me speaking at the public speaking competition I was in about mental health and related to some of the things I said, as soon as I read the DM, I started crying! She also has read my blog (HELLO!) and said that my blog was inspiring. I'm not posting this to brag I promise, I was just so shocked that a person listened & related to what I said/have written on my blog, it really took me by surprise. Thank you. I always find other people inspiring and always wanted to inspire people, I never thought anyone in the world actually took me seriously, ever.

On Saturday, I went to badminton for the first time this year and afterwards had a Sherlock marathon with my friend Vivien! We eventually took out FredOrGeorge (my tripod) and posed with Harry Styles! We had a great afternoon watching Sherlock and posing with Harry Styles.

During the Christmas sales I also bought some things online which finally arrived on Thursday & Friday! (Photos are below) I haven't worn/used all the clothes and bag yet but I'm looking forward to!

Sorry for the brevity of this blog post, I can't seem to write a lot at the moment no matter how hard I try. Hopefully when I'm back in school I'll be in the frame of mind to be able to write more! It could also be the fact that I'm watching the Dan and Phil show online *drools over Dan* and that Sherlock is on in 45 minutes...

Myself and Vivien posing with Harry!

FOOOD!

I think someone has their eye on Harry *coughs awkwardly*

My reactions to Allegiant...

*end of the book*

Some of the things I ordered on the Roxy site, I bought the hoody in one of the clothes shops in town (Half price sale wahey) and the top online

I also bought a Hollister top and hoodie (don't judge me, it was free shipping!)

The lovely bag I bought on the Roxy site, I literally can't wait to use it!
Ps. I bought these items with my own money.Hollister and Roxy did not pay me or anything, this is just me fangirling over Christmas sales!) :)

So that's it from me!
Tomorrow I'll be braving the school corridors again for the first time in like 3 weeks :(
I call it peasant fighting but oh well
too late to take that back
oh well
Stay Strong, Happy and Fearless!

I'm Only Human, I've Got A Skeleton In Me. But I'm Not The Villain, Despite What You're Always Preaching.

Hey Everyone!

So another week has passed in The Life Of Me. It's hard to believe there's less than a month left in 2013. It seems like only yesterday that everyone was panicking over the year having a ''13'' in it, now it's steadily approaching the start of 2014. It makes me think back and reflect on what 2013 was like for me.

At this precise moment, it's nearly 10.30am on a Wednesday. I'm meant to be in school but I'm ill, which sounds fun however when you lose your voice and are too tired to function, it's not so fun. Thankfully my Mam gave me my laptop so I've been here for the last hour going through emails, blog comments and procrastinating editing the YouTube video I filmed recently with Grace from Dainty Sprinkles (illness is my excuse)

I know I mentioned very little about last week, well off the top of my head I don't really remember it. I got all my Christmas test results back from my teachers and I'm delighted with my results, I won't go into detail about them but I got honours in all of them, even maths! I freaked out in the maths exam (which is always an adventure) and I was convinced I had failed, in the end I got a B. To say I nearly cried with joy is an understatement!

Another random result was Business. In Ireland an A2 is 85% - 89% but an A1 is 90-100%. I got 84 in business and my teacher wouldn't let me have the A *cries* I was still delighted with a B1 though! Those were the two funniest results to get back (if getting results back is funny, which it isn't)

On Saturday I was at Grace's house (which you can read about in a previous blog post) On Sunday I went with my parents to one of the shopping centre's in Dublin and shopped til we dropped. I spent all my money in Penneys and got a Starbucks Hot Chocolate which was so delicious and one of my favourite Starbucks drinks ever.

Subsequently on Tuesday and Wednesday (today) I've been ill, which is never a bundle of laughs. On Tuesday I woke up with a sore throat and practically lost my voice in school throughout the day, after school my parents and I drove to Limerick to collect my brother from University. Which is a couple of hours drive, both ways. So I sat in the back of the car surrounded by blankets and with a pillow, continuously falling asleep.

According to my parents and brother, I develop a sense of humour when I'm ill or as they put it, delirious. Unfortunately for all you lovely people I can't mention the jokes as they were quite inappropriate and I would never be able to walk into school ever again.

So the last day of school is Friday, hopefully I'll be back in because the last day of term is always fun (and it's a half day woop) So hopefully I won't be coughing my lungs up next time I write a blog post! (or drinking Lemsip because let's face it, it's like dead bodies. Dan Howell reference ssh)

Stay Strong, Happy and Fearless!

Shopping & Heatwaves!

Hey Everyone,

this week again the weather is simply stunning. Officially we're in drought! Even the grass on the Emerald Isle is turning brown! The horror. I was working for most of the gorgeous weather but I did get outside every once in a while. I tan quite easily, well for an Irish person, so I'm looking quite brown right now which I'm quite proud of. I had some random adventures this week, so overall it was a fun week.

On Friday, my day off this week, I went shopping with my Mam and my older brother (he wasn't socially awkward for once, woo) to a shopping centre in a town around 25 minutes or so away. We went to a good few shops (photos of what I bought are below) and we stopped off for frappuccinos which were simply delicious in the heat. (It was 83% humidity, scary for Ireland)

My brother is quite fussy and refuses to eat cream, butter or drink a glass of milk, so I told him that frapp's were made from ice cream (because I'm evil and he's not allergic to dairy products, he's just a fussy University student!) so he got one and devoured it! He said ''The ice cream was amazing in that, it was so fluffy it was crazy!'' So I told him it was cream, his facial expression was just priceless.

I also went into another shop and bought a new notebook (where I go my last one around a year ago, it's nearly full now too! *sob*) and a peacock memo pad with a cute brooch on the front. I have an obsession with stationery, I adore looking at cute notebooks with quirky designs on them. I love buying new notebooks (for own use, not school related) letters, and more. I have an adorable hardback with cupcakes on the back and front, I simply love it.

I went into Eason's too, (an amazing bookshop if you don't know) and bought Delirium, it looks really good! It's written by Lauren Oliver who also wrote ''Before I Fall'' which I really want to read too. I won't be starting Delirium for a while at least as I want to finish my John Green books first. UPDATE: I read Looking for Alaska, it was just stunning, I cried so hard reading it.

I'm nearly finished An Abundance of Katherine's, it was something different and I actually somewhat enjoyed all the maths in the book! (I'm horrendous at maths and I'm doing Honours Maths in Leaving Cert, this will be fun) After 'An Abundance of Katherine's'' I'll read Paper Towns then Will Grayson Will Grayson or vice versa. I must say John Green books are all special pages of literature indeed, they're so precious and beautiful.

Oh and on another John Green note, I have been sticking quotes on the walls beside my impromptu ''John Green book Shrine'' which I started as a joke with my brother and also with Grace aka Dainty Sprinkles! So far there's 25 or so quotes stuck on the walls and more will be added as I read Will Grayson, Will Grayson and Paper Towns. I have no life at all have I?

The Roxy website had a sale on recently so I bought some things, which finally arrived on Monday (woop woop) I was home alone at the time so I had to sign for them, which is fine, except if you're left handed! However I got all my things and they're just amazing. I ordered a new wallet, a pink Roxy t shirt and I got a new school bag (I have an obsession with Roxy bags, every one of my school bags since starting in secondary school have been Roxy, they last very well too, would definitely recommend!)

Oh and another brilliant thing occurred during the week. This blog, my blog, reached 4,000 views! At the moment it's nearly 4,200 which is just, surreal! So thank you all so much, I owe you all. I still have a few more idea's up my sleeve which I will tell you all about in good time so keep reading about my random tales!

My things from Roxy! (To say I was excited was an understatement)

The John Green Book Shrine! (Now with 25 quotes for being philosophical)

My frappuccino from Costa (the nearest Starbucks is in Dublin *sob*)

The front of my new notebook! Doesn't it look amazing? I love it so far.

My new notebook!

My new memo pad, I love the brooch on the front (it's also magnetic and keeps the pages together)

The inside, all my notes are going to be covered in peacocks!

A Roxy bag I got in TK Maxx down from 38 euro to 6, so far I've used it to carry my books, earphones, phone and sunglasses case to the garden and make sure they don't get lost!

An adorable cupcake case I got too, let's hope I don't eat it! ;)

What my afternoon consisted of yesterday in the glorious sunshine

A bad photo of my tan, but yeah, I'm that brown now.
